Here's 3 things you must do in October in Edmonton

With the fall season already here we are looking forward to a few amazing events including our own happening in Edmonton in October.

1. BLOOM FESTIVAL : October 5th – 8th 2017

7 days of mindful activities and an unforgettable mainstage weekend with headliners Danielle Laporte, Daniela Andrade, MC YOGI and Guru Jagat.

Think about TEDx, then add yoga and meditation, then add a little sprinkle of the cultural diversity of Heritage Days and the music and sounds of Folk Fest and then add in a retreat experience in the heart of Edmonton and you get BLOOM FESTIVAL 2017.

‘At Together We Bloom Society our aim to is to make mindful living including: yoga, meditation and wellness accessible to all communities in cities that we serve.

We do this simply by making mindfulness a fun, artistic, expressive and community experience.’

2. THE EDMONTON PEACE FESTIVAL : September 21st – October 2nd 2017

‘The intent and purpose of the Edmonton Peace Festival is to bring together Edmontonians of all backgrounds to reflect on and celebrate peace. The Peace Festival aims to foster a city-wide promotion of peace, unity, and human rights. It runs from September 21st, the International Day of Peace, until October 2nd, the International Day of Non-Violence.’

3.  SELF CARE WORKSHOP – REACH EDMONTON – October 16th, 2017

‘An essential survivor tool for helping professionals workshop.’

Molly Schikosky

My life is rooted in the belief that when we come from a place of love and compassion, many things are possible. I’m a big believer in authenticity and realness – it will take you places imitation never will. I have a passion for words, and find myself lost within them often. My heart is within work with teen girls, empowering and uplifting them through yoga and self-love (do check out I live and breathe connection, and co-created as a space and a platform for sharing people’s raw & unfiltered stories – we gather, we open up, we laugh, we empower. I am a creative, a woman, a deep feeler, a story teller, a listener, and an ever-changing human here for this ride called life.
